Thought leader and influential Data lady! Lien has worked on Information projects for over 25 years and is recognised as a global data leader. Lien was the Chief Data Officer at the Intellectual Property Office UK where she was leading on data as part of a 5-year transformation programme. She has held senior roles within public and private sector organisations where her experience in data has helped deliver data capabilities on the Test & Trace Covid 19 Programme to deliver the Analytics strategy and capabilities. Lien was the CIO for Data for Global Operation at HSBC and Barclays Treasury to name but a few. Lien spent over 10 years in and out of public sector on client and supplier side as a Management Consultant as part of many Change and Transformation Programmes. Lien’s leadership style is inclusive, transparent and encourages her team to excel, both technically and personally. 

Lien has been recognised as Informatica Most Influential Data Leaders of 2022, Analytics Champion for EMEA & LATAM, she is recognised in the DataIQ 100 Most Influential People in Data 2023, Global CDataO 100 2023 and drives diversity on Advisory Boards and Panels.

Lien is passionate about data, improving social mobility, diversity and making the workplace a more fun place to be. She is first generation Vietnamese refugee who came to the UK at the age of 7.  When not in the office, Lien is a keen cook, mother of 2 geeky boys and is working towards an end-to-end supply chain of fruit and vegetables from her allotment.

Mike has been leading research into the development of great human performance - primarily in the fields of leadership, management and working effectively with others. Significant past projects include the development and implementation of the performance appraisal system for GMC-registered medical doctors across the UK, and the selection process for the London 2012 Olympics Gamesmakers. He has regularly co-presented The Confident Leader programmes for the NHS. An active Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Mike has held various executive and NED roles during his career, and is currently Chair of the Board of the Vine Schools Trust – a family of 23 primary schools employing 600 staff and supporting almost 5,000 children across Essex.
