David is a strategic communications and engagement leader experienced in supporting citizens, communities, leaders, and organisations to engage with each other effectively enabling communities to work together.
Achieving this by building expertise in public relations, communications using traditional and digital engagement led approaches with over 20 years of experience in police communications, engagement, and change leadership.
David has built a strong reputation of driving and delivering transformation and helping policing to change and excel across a huge range of issues. Enabling and challenging colleagues to succeed, developing innovative solutions and using evidence-based decision making to continually improve, learning from failure and celebrating success.
Previously David led the NPCC Social Media Project driving and supporting change in forces to deliver a truly citizen focused social media enabled service.
Now as part of the Police Digital Service (PDS), continuing to support adoption and communications of the National Police Digital Strategy and the wider PDS digital engagement. Hosting weekly webinars which help policing adapt to the implementation of new technology and working methods.
